bee-z bee-z in zee kitchen is the way to bee!

beer bread [the one that was under all that peanut butter up there], so easy to make, and the results are always ultra-satisfying [recipe coming up after pictures]

finally, not food, but to show you I am being supervised when I work in the kitchen. good to know, eh?

beer bread recipe:

3 cups flour [I usually use half whole wheat, half bread flour]
3 t baking powder
1.5 t salt
3 T sugar
12oz beer

preheat oven to 375F, prepare loaf pan.
mix dry ingredients, add beer, stir some more, but don't OVER-mix, pour into pan, place in oven for 60 minutes. let cool on a rack before cutting.

One day your observant cat may become a great chef. :) I like the yeasty taste of beer bread and even have a stock of beer waiting for March so I can make it with some of my other St Patty's day recipes.

I have a bunch of beer in my fridge that I don't like (sad, huh?) so it's just been SITTING there. For weeks. I'm totally going to make this beer bread tonight!

mmmn. beer bread is in the oven...but i used a malty grain medium ale, and whole grain spelt flour for all of it, plus honey instead of sugar, so I hope it turns out ok!
